REPORT
MOLANDS Still fishing a little patchy but sport has improved this week with match weights to 50lb and carp starting to show in larger numbers along with some F1’s to 6lb. Pellet feeder fished to be island with banded hard pellet, punched bread or meat on the hook has been the top tactic. Pole and pellet at 10 – 14 metres is also working well. Top pegs 12, 13, 21 – 25, 29, 43 – 46 and 55 – 58.
GEARYS Very quiet on Gearys this week with only a few pleasure anglers fishing the pool. Decent sized skimmers and the odd big perch are coming to caster fished on the long pole with pegs 9 – 13, 16, 31 and 36 the pick of the pegs.
LITTLE GEARYS Up and down temperatures saw sport fluctuating through the week but on the better days it has been in decent form with good sized F1’s starting to be caught down the inside on caster or pellet. Pellet feeder to the island is also working well with small hook baits such as 4mm expanders or single pieces of punched bread. Best pegs 7 – 15, 21 and 27 – 29.
GRATUITIES A small pellet feeder fished to the island with punched bread, Polony or a 4mm expander pellet on the hook has been catching carp in the 2 – 4lb range. For mixed nets, pole fished caster is best.
WILLOW Fishing up to the island with either a waggler and pellet or pellet/method feeder with pellet or meat on the hook has been working for good nets of F1’s and carp. Plenty of skimmers are coming to the pole and pellet as well.
CRESCENT This small pool has been in great form with lots of silvers being caught on float fished maggot or caster and carp in the 4 – 6lb range are coming to pellet or punched bread.
