FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 18/12/11

Last week 40 rods caught 154 fish for an average of 3.85.
             
Another quiet week on the fishery but all those who fished caught well.  The bank of Cocks Close is fishing well, particularly along the high bank and the wires bank.

Black or white Lures such as Cats Whisker, white Minkies, and black Tadpole have been the most effective flies but black Buzzer has also accounted for a lot of fish this week.

The best fish of the week was a 14lb 12oz rainbow caught by *Martin Rigby of Coventry who was fishing the bank of Cocks Close and took it on a Gold Head Damsel Nymph fished on a floating line.  Mr M Roper of Halesowen fished catch and release on the bank of Cocks Close and caught eleven fish to over 5lb with small Fritz Lures working well for him.
 
On the Great Pool, Les Garside of Nuneaton took a five fish limit with fish to 4lb using white Minkies on a floating line.  John Bartlan of Atherstone fished from a boat on Park Meadow and caught eight fish to 5lb 2oz on black Lures.

The Fishery will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day over the holiday period.
