REPORT
MOLANDS Since the fish started spawning last weekend, sport has slumped on Molands with the F1’s not showing at all. Catches this week have been mainly of carp with match weights to 80lb but only 30 – 40lb needed to frame. Candle, pellet waggler or pole fished pellet have been the best tactics in matches. Pleasure anglers have enjoyed the best of the action being able to feed floating baits and fish to 21lb have been caught on bread or dog biscuit. The best pegs have been from 15 – 19, 23 – 29, 42 – 48 and 52 – 55.
GEARYS The hot weather has brought a lot of carp on to the top and surface fishing with dog biscuit, big expanders or bread has accounted for some big catches by pleasure anglers. In the matches, pinging 8mm pellets and fishing bomb, candle or pellet waggler over the top have been the best tactics. Some good nets of skimmers are coming to paste fished down the near margin as well. Top pegs are 1 – 4, 9 – 15, 19, 21 – 27 and 31 – 36.
LITTLE GEARYS The best pool this week with some cracking catches being taken by match and pleasure anglers. The carp are all on the top during the day as fish to double figures have come to floaters or candle/ pellet waggler and pellet. The F1’s fished shallow with pellet are accounting for nets to nearly 100lb. Fish are being caught all round with the best pegs 3, 7 – 11, 13, 21 and 25 – 29.
GRATUITIES The fishing has been fairly consistent this week with nets to 60lb in matches and good bags reported by pleasure anglers. Carp are coming to the pellet feeder fished up to the island with some bigger samples showing to floating baits. Mixed nets of crucians, skimmers, carp and tench are being taken on long pole with expander pellet, paste or corn. Top pegs are 1, 4 – 9, 13, 15 and 16.
ANNIVERSARIES There have been lots of bigger carp showing at the road end of the pool on pegs 12 – 15 and fish to 15lb are coming out to surface baits. Mixed nets of crucians, tench, F1’s and small barbel are coming to the meat or pellet fished on the long pole out to the islands or overhanging feartures.
WILLOW Carp and F1’s are showing really well on Willow with pellet waggler, candle or pellet feeder fished tight up to the island accounting for the better catches. Best pegs are 1 – 6.
CRESCENT This small pool has been in really good form and there have been some terrific catches of carp this week. Fishing meat or paste at about 6 metres down the edge has caught plenty of carp in the 4 – 8lb range.
SIBLINGS Surface fishing has accounted for the better catches with carp to 15lb coming to this. The crucians, skimmers and tench have also been feeding well with meat or corn working best for those fishing amongst the reed beds at the top end of the pool.

FROM JULY 1st, THE FISHERY WILL NOT BE SUPPLYING KEEPNETS FOR MATCHES. ANGLERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN NETS. THERE WILL BE A 60lb MAXIMUM WEIGHT LIMIT AND NETS MUST BE LAID OUT BEHIND ANGLERS UNTIL 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE MATCH STARTS.
