REPORT

MOLANDS   Molands has improved from the previous week with the carp and skimmers showing better.  Carp are coming to a pellet or small method feeder fished across to the island with meat or expander pellet on the hook and fish to double figures have been caught down the track at 8 – 12 metres with paste or chopped worm and caster accounting for the better catches.  Best pegs are 2, 8, 13 – 19, 31, 43 – 46 and 52 – 56.

GEARYS   Carp to over 18lb weighed in during matches this week with a lot of doubles being caught.  Straight lead with 8mm pellet has been the best tactic for carp with pegs
9 – 13, 17 – 20, 23, 27 and 31 – 34 producing the better catches.  The skimmers are still not feeding as well as they should but nets to 40lb+ are being caught with the high bank the best area from 7 – 11 and pole fished paste, pellet or worm has worked best.

LITTLE GEARYS   Lots of fish being caught with F1’s from 1 – 2lb, skimmers from
1 – 2lb and loads of crucians around the 12oz mark making for consistent sport from all around the pool.  Caster or pellet fished close down the first shelf or long pole and pellet fished shallow are the best tactics at the moment.  Top pegs are 7, 10 – 13, 17 – 21 and
26 – 29.

GRATUITIES   This pool is getting more and more popular with lots of tench in the
2 – 3lb range and carp from 1 – 4lb showing this week.  Pole and pellet and feeder out to the island are the best tactics at the moment.  Top pegs are 1, 2, 8 – 11 and 15 – 16.

WILLOW    Small expander or caster fished down the middle has produced lots of skimmers, crucians and a few quality roach.   The bigger fish are still being caught tight into the margins or close to the island with meat or paste accounting for tench and carp.

ANNIVERSARIES   The silver fish sport has been excellent this week with lots of skimmers, tench, crucians and roach showing.  Pleasure anglers reporting mixed nets to 40 – 50lb.  Pole fished expander pellet, caster or paste are all working well.  The bigger carp have been elusive this week with 1, 2, 6 and 22 offering the best chance of bigger fish to meat, corn or boilies.

SIBLINGS   Lots of skimmers and crucians coming to the pole and pellet with the middle points area fishing the best for these.  Tench and carp are being caught around the reed beds with tench to over 5lb and carp into double figures coming to boilies or meat.

CRESCENT    This small 11 peg pool has been in good form this week with plenty of carp to 4 – 8lb range coming out along with tench to 4lb, skimmers and roach.  Float fished corn over a bed of micros has been the most consistent method but meat or larger expander pellet are also catching well.
