REPORT
MOLANDS The best of the pools this week with F1’s, skimmers, roach and a few carp and tench showing from lots of different areas. Catches to 50lb are coming to long pole with pellet, maggot or caster. A small pellet feeder or method feeder fished up to the island is best for carp with fish up to double figures coming to this. Best pegs 2, 4, 10 – 15, 18, 29, 37, 43 – 48 and 52 – 58.
GEARYS Fishing really hard at the moment with catches to 20lb of skimmers best. The odd carp up to double figures coming to popped up bread or the bomb. The deeper water along the high bank is the most consistent area with pole and pellet/caster working best.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little harder this week with 30lb+ catches best which are mainly made up of F1’s in the 1 – 2lb bracket. Long pole and pellet is the winning tactic at the moment with pegs 7 – 15 and 25 – 29 providing the better catches.
GRATUITIES Another pool that has seen catches drop this week with match and pleasure anglers catching up to 30lb best. The carp are providing the best action with fish from 1 – 4lb coming to the waggler or pellet feeder fished tight to the island. The middle pegs from 2 – 6 and 11 – 15 are the best bet.
ANNIVERSARIES The top end of the pool on pegs 1 – 6 and 19 – 23 have been in the best form producing mixed nets of skimmers, crucians, roach and even a few barbel. Pole fished maggot, caster, pinkies and pellet have all been catching a few fish.
WILLOW Like all the pools, Willow has been a little harder this week with mixed nets of roach, skimmers and crucians coming from most pegs. The F1’s have shoaled up around the island on pegs 5 and 6 where a small pellet feeder with dead reds is producing the best catches.
