REPORT
MOLANDS Like the weather last week the fishing has been very changeable, with one day nets to 100lb being caught and the next day very little.Carp to 15lb and f1s to 7lb have featured in nets with the carp responding best to a method/hybrid feeder fished upto the island with pellet or dead maggot on the hook, for the f1s banded hard pellet or caster fished over the 1st shelf at 5 metres is best.Top pegs are 2,8,13,1521,33,41-46,56-60
GEARYS Pleasure anglers have enjoyed the best of gearys this week with it being generally quite in the matches.surface baits or boilies fished at long range on the high bank from pegs 9-13 or from the far side on 28- 36 have been catching carp to18lb.In matches a method or hybrid feeder fished over 8mm pellet on the pinging line has been the best tactic.Decent catches of silvers coming to pole fished worm/caster or expanders fished over groundbait.
LITTLE GEARYS Little Gearys is the most consistent of the main match pools at the moment with catches to 80lb+ and lots of decent nets from most pegs. Shallow pole and pellet has been the best tactics but as the weather cools expect the caster ans maggot to come into its own.A few have tried pinging 6or 8mm pellets to the island and fishing the bomb over it with good success as well this week.
WILLOW Pleasure anglers have enjoyed good sport on Willow throughout the week with plenty of carp, F1s, skimmers and crucians showing on all pegs. Pole fished banded hard pellet fished on the deck or shallow seems to be the best tactic at the moment with pellet waggler or feeder to the island also doing well.
SIBLINGS A This pool has been a little bit patchy but plenty of F1s, ide, carp and skimmers are showing. On the wider pegs a small pellet feeder has been working, on the other areas, long pole with meat or banded hard pellet has been best. Good nets of ide are coming to caster fished shallow.
SIBLINGS B Prolific for F1s albeit small in the 8oz -1lb range but anglers have enjoyed a bite a chuck on the best days this week. Pole fished paste, pellet or maggot all accounting for good catches with pegs 5 – 12 the pick of the pegs at the moment.
ANNIVERSARIES A little better this with F1s to 2lb making up catches to around 60lb best. The early pegs from 1 – 10 have been best with pole and pellet or caster the top tactic. The carp are still showing best at the top bay with fish into double figures coming to paste or corn
