REPORT
MOLANDS Fished really hard this week with the first big frost of the winter severely affecting sport. Catches to around 40lb best with F1s providing the main action but they are feeding better later in the day. Pole fished maggot or caster is providing the best nets fished long at
10 – 4 metres down the edge.
GEARYS Still fishing ok with nets to around 60lb made up of carp and skimmers coming out. The high bank is the most consistent area and pole fished caster/maggot/expander pellet are working well. Around the rest of the pool, method feeder or pellet feeder is accounting for carp to over double figures.
LITTLE GEARYS The best pool at the moment with weights to 80lb caught and good back up weights from most areas of the pool. Long pole with maggot, caster or expander pellet is catching F1s and carp. A small method or pellet feeder fished tight to the bank is also catching a few fish.
ANNIVERSARIES Picked up this week with decent nets of F1s, small carp, ide and the odd bigger bream too. Pole fished maggot or caster fished over micros has been the top tactic.
SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) Some decent carp being caught especially around pegs 16 – 20 with pole fishing worm or corn tight across to the island catching fish to 10lb. Maggot fished shallow is working well for ide and F1s.
SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Most of the F1s and ide are coming to pole fished maggot, caster or expander pellet with weights to around 30lb best although there are lots of bites as the fish are around the 12oz mark. The pegs on the end of the pool have been best with 5 – 11 all worth a try.
