REPORT
MOLANDS In terrific form at the moment with match and pleasure catches to over 150lb.The carp are really feeding well with pellet waggler, bomb and method feeder catching lots of fish around the 5-8lb range along with the odd fish into double figures. Big catches of f1s are being caught down the 1st shelf at 4-6 metres on pole and pellet/maggot Top pegs are 2,10-19, 23, 29, 31, 42 – 48 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS Its been tough on gearys for most of the week with the carp up top and refusing to feed in numbers.Pleasure anglers have caught a few on floating baits with chum mixer best and fish to 18lb have fallen to this.On the matches bomb and 8mm pellet or pole with caster or corn have been best with catches to 50lb best this week . Top pegs have been 1, 9, 13, 16, 19 – 21, 27 and 31-36
LITTLE GEARYS Catches have been lower than recent weeks with to 80lb this week but still consistent with fish being caught all around the pool. F1s and carp are making up the bulk of catches and a variety of tactics are working as well.A small pellet feeder fished tight up to the island,pole and pellet,caster or maggot fed heavy close in on the 5metre line and meat down the margins are all working. Top pegs are 1, 3, 7 – 11, 21, 25 – 29.
WILLOW The carp have been up in the water and pellet waggler or float fishing have been the best tactics catching carp in the 3 – 8lb range with the odd bigger fish to 15lb coming in. Plenty of f1s, tench, smaller carp and a few chub are being caught on the pole with pellet or caster the best baits. Top pegs are 1, 5, 6 and8 – 11
SIBLINGS A Fished better this week with plenty of carp showing in the 1 – 4lb range along with F1’s, tench and skimmers. Pole fished pellet down the middle is working best for F1’s with meat or corn tight across to the far bank for carp. Best pegs are 1 – 5 and 17 – 22.
ANNIVERSARIES F1’s showing all around the pool now with pellet or paste catching lots of fish. The bigger carp are showing on pegs 1 – 4 and 21 – 23 with float fished corn the best approach for fish up to 12lb.
