REPORT
MOLANDS Some cracking bags of carp being caught by pleasure anglers fishing on the top with bread or dog biscuit and anglers reporting catches up to 20 carp from 6 – 19lb in sessions. The matches are being won with over 60lb with decent catches framing from all around the pool. Pellet feeder or pellet waggler have been the top tactics for matches. Best pegs 1 – 4, 13 – 17, 25 – 28, 40 – 47 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS A little up and down this week with one day fishing quite hard and the next very well and catches to over 130lb were caught in matches this week. Carp to nearly 20lb have figured in nets with lots of double figured fish coming out. Pole fished corn or chopped worm and caster or pellet feeder have been the top tactics. Best pegs are 1, 4, 6, 13, 16, 18 – 20, 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Match weights to 75lb+ caught this week with various tactics producing results. Method feeder or pellet feeder fished tight to the island with white boilies, pellet or meat on the hook have been catching on most pegs. The top end of the pool on the early pegs has been better fished shallow on pole and pellet for F1’s and carp.
GRATUITIES In good form this week with lots of carp in the 1 – 4lb range and a few bigger fish, tench to 5lb, crucians and skimmers all showing well. Fishing with the pole with pellet or paste has been the best tactic with all pegs fishing well.
WILLOW Very busy this week with most pegs taken every day and some good bags were caught. Paste or pellet fished down the near margin is working well along with pellet waggler or long pole fished tight up to the island. Carp to 15lb, tench, F1’s and skimmers made up the catches.
ANNIVERSARIES Fishing really well for mixed nets of skimmers, crucian carp, tench, barbel and small carp with pellet, maggot and caster all producing plenty of fish. The bigger carp with some good doubles included, have been coming to floating baits with dog biscuit working well. Best pegs are 1 – 6, 17 and 21 – 23.
SIBLINGS Lots of carp from 5 – 19lb were caught this week with floating baits accounting for the majority of fish caught. There were some cracking mixed nets of skimmers tench, carp and crucians coming to pole fished meat or pellet. The reed bed end of the pool has been the best area.
