REPORT
MOLANDS Match weights to 50lb came off this week with carp and F1s making up the catches with fish showing all around the pool but pegs 6 – 12, 25 – 29, 43 – 46 and 56 – 60 are the best pegs. Maggot feeder, waggler with punched bread and long pole with maggot have all been catching.
GEARYS With ice covering many parts of the lake, Gearys has been quite hard this week. Bomb and bread has accounted for a few carp with fish between 8 and 12lb coming to this. Silver nets to 20lb have been best with pole fished paste or maggot over ground bait catching skimmers along the high bank.
LITTLE GEARYS The pick of the pools this week with nets to 70lb coming off and fishing well on most pegs despite the icy conditions. Maggot feeder fished three quarters way across has been the top tactic for F1s to 5lb with pole fished pinkies or maggots also catching a few.
SIBLINGS B A definite improvement over the past week with F1s and carp coming to pole fished pellet or maggot fished across to the far bank.
GRATUITIES Another pool that is improving with carp from 2 – 6lb and plenty of skimmers, roach and crucians being caught. Pole fished maggot or caster is the top tactic with waggler and punched bread also scoring well.
WILLOW Nets of carp and F1s to around 30lb have been caught this week with long pole and maggot, maggot or pellet down the margins and a small feeder to the island all worth a try at the moment.
