FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS In great form this week with carp to 18lb, F1’s to 6lb, crucians and skimmers showing in good numbers. Pellet fished shallow on the pole at 10 – 13 metres or pellet waggler is accounting for the bigger nets and there were quite a few 100lb bags caught in matches this week. Pellet feeder fished up to the island or a small method feeder is working well particularly for carp. Top pegs are 2, 10, 12, 19, 23 – 29, 39, 43 – 48 and 54 – 60.
GEARYS Still fishing well but weights have been down on the previous week with match nets to 90lb best. The bigger carp have been showing well with plenty of fish in the 10 – 14lb range with the odd bigger fish to 18lb. Bomb and pellet is the main tactic but pellet feeder, method feeder or worm over ground bait down the edge are also worth fishing at the moment. Top pegs are 1, 6, 11, 19 – 23, 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS With match and pleasure catches in excess of 100lb, Little Gearys has been in good form this week. Shallow fishing has been working best with long pole and pellet or caster fished between 6 and 2ft deep. Pleasure anglers have been catching some good carp off the top with bread or dog biscuit accounting for fish to 15lb. Top pegs are 3, 7, 10 – 13, 21, 25 and 27.
GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been coming to floating baits. Good mixed catches have been caught on expander pellet or caster fished down the middle of the pool. Top pegs were 4, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 16.
ANNIVERSARIES Lots of F1’s are showing from all areas of the pool with pole fished pellet, maggot or caster all working well. The bigger carp are showing around the top end with pegs 1, 3, 21 and 23 producing fish to double figures.
SIBLINGS A & B Both pools are in good form with lots of F1’s, carp, tench and crucians showing to float fished pellet or corn. Top pegs on Siblings A are 1, 5, 9 and 13 and on Siblings B they are 3, 7, 11 and 18.
