REPORT
MOLANDS Fishing really well last week with carp to 15lb, F1’s to 4lb, tench to 5lb, bream to 5lb and crucians to 2lb featuring in catches. Match weights to over 90lb caught with lots of good back ups coming from all areas of the pool. Lots of tactics are working well with pellet feeder/method feeder to the island, shallow pole and pellet, corn or meat fished the margins and pellet waggler all accounting for good nets of fish this week. Top pegs are 2 – 4, 8, 13, 19, 25 – 31, 39 – 48 and 53 – 60.
GEARYS Really starting to fish very well with lots of carp showing on all areas of the pool. A top weight of 170lb won the Mallory AC float only match on Sunday with John Duncan fishing peg 16 and catching carp to double figures on pole and worm fished over pellet. Carp to 19lb have figured in catches this week with the bigger fish being caught down the margins on corn, paste or worm fished over ground bait. Bomb and pellet is also working very well. Top pegs are 6, 9, 12, 16, 19 – 21, 27, 29 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS This pool is very consistent still with every peg capable of providing good nets of F1’s, skimmers and carp. A small pellet waggler with 6mm pellet or long pole and pellet fished shallow are accounting for the bigger nets in matches. Pleasure anglers fishing into the evening have found corn, meat or paste down the margins is working very well. Top pegs are 1, 3, 7- 12, 19 , 21, 24 and 28.
GRATUITIES Grats has really picked up over the last week with lots of carp in the
1 – 4lb range showing on paste or meat down the margins or pellet feeder to the island. The crucians are showing in large numbers too with fish in the 8oz – 1lb range coming to pellet or caster fished over micros. Top pegs are 1, 4, 8 – 11 and 15.
WILLOW Very popular with pleasure anglers, Willow has been in good form throughout the last week. Lots of carp in the 3 – 6lb range showing to the feeder to the island or down the margins with paste or corn. A few bigger fish fell to floating baits with bread or dog biscuit accounting for fish into double figures. F1’s, crucians and skimmers are also showing in numbers.
ANNIVERSARIES If you want lots of bites, then Annies is the place with caster or maggot fished over ground bait catching lots of F1’s, roach, skimmers, crucians and the odd tench or carp. The bigger carp are coming to the top with dog biscuit or floating boilies taking fish to 18lb.
SIBLINGS A Pole and pellet is working really well on the new Siblings pool with carp, tench and skimmers showing all around the pool. Fish close in at 3 – 4- metres, up to the island and if you can to the next platform. Catches to 10lb have been reported this week.
SIBLINGS B This is now open for everyone to fish and early results are good with carp to 10lb, tench and crucians showing in good numbers. Simple float fishing at 3 – 5 metres is the best way with pellet or maggot working best.
