FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Fishing much better with nrts to 180lb being caught and decent catches from all around the pool . Method feeder with dead reds, meat or wafter fished across to the island, pole fished worm and caster long on the deck or shallow and pole with dead maggots fished over ground bait have been the most effective tactics. Carp to over 20lb were caught this week with boilies fished down the margins or across to the island working best for the bigger fish.

GEARYS Lots of carp showing all around the pool and match nets to 130lb were caught last week. Bomb or waggler with 8mm pellet, slapping or mugging shallow and on the deck at 10-14m have been the top tactics. Carp anglers have reported fish to 23lb with boilies fished with good spread of free offerings down the margins or fishing a PVA bag out to the middle stumps best for the better-quality fish

LITTLE GEARYS Match nets to 120lb + this week and decent catches coming from all around the pool. Pole with pellet or caster fished shallow on the jigga has still been the top tactic fished out at 11-14m or down the edges but method feeder or pellet feeder to the island, water waggler with 6mm pellet and down the edges with dead maggot ,pellet or paste are also worth a go.

ANNIVERSARIES Nets to around 90lb were caught this week with f1s and small carp showing on most pegs. Bomb or waggler in the open water fishing banded 6mm pellet on the hook accounted for the better nets but pole fished caster or pellet fished shallow also working well.

SIBLINGS A Nets to over 130lb this week with carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb being caught. Caster has been the top bait either fished down the track shallow or in the margins. Corn and paste are also working well.

SIBLINGS B Fished a little slow in the week but improved at the weekend when nets to 80lb were made by fishing caster or pellet shallow and down the margins with worm , paste or corn fished over micros. The pegs down the arms have been more consistent with 1-4 and 14-18 best.

GRATUITIES The better catches have been made up with carp from 3-8lb with the odd double being caught and feeder or waggler to the island has accounted for nets to 70lb. Pole fished maggot, caster or expander fished over micros or ground bait has caught mixed nets of silvers and small f1s to 40lb.

WILLOW Fishing well with nets to nearly 120lb best and lots of tactics working including water waggler or feeder fished really tight to the island for carp and f1s to 5lb, shallow pole and jigga with caster or pellet for f1s and down the margins with corn, meat or pellet for bigger carp with fish to 20lb reported this week
