MOLANDS . Despite the very cold conditions , Molands has fished ok in parts with match weights to 80lb and some decent back up nets too. The best areas have been from 8-19 and around the point on pegs 41-48 where waggler/bomb with pellet ,maggot feeder or long pole with banded pellet ,expander or maggots have all been producing.
GEARYS . The high bank from pegs 9-13 and the far side from 30-36 is still the best with nets to 50lb being caught in matches with waggler and pellet or bomb with punched bread the top tactics. The silver fish sport has been a little better with nets to around 20lb coming to maggot or pinkies fished over groundbait.
LITTLE GEARYS Still very patchy this week with nets to over 70lb best but the fish are shoaling on a few pegs with 1 – 3 and 7- 15 the most consistent area still. Long pole with maggot or a banded 6mm pellet or maggot feeder fished down the middle have been the better tactics.
ANNIVERSARIES Fished ok this week with f1s and carp showing on most pegs but 6 – 10 and 23 the hot pegs. Pole with maggots fished short at around 6m as been working well and on the more open pegs bomb with wafter or 6mm pellet is having a few.
SIBLINGS A Nets to around 30lb best this week with F1s the main target bit the odd carp to double figures also showing. Dobbing bread or corn and fishing maggot down the middle has been the best approach.
SIBLINGS B . Dobbing bread across to the far bank along the reedbeds has been the top tactic but later in day the f1s are coming short to maggot fished out of your hand with nets to around 40lb best this week.
GRATUITIES Nice mixed nets of skimmers, roach, perch and chub coming to maggot or caster fished on the pole or waggler. A few carp up to double figures have come to punched bread on the bomb or waggler fished across to the island
WILLOW Nets to around 35lb were best this week with F1s and carp to 4lbs making up the catches. Waggler with pellet or bomb with pellet/bread and long pole with banded hard pellet have been the best approach with pegs 3-6 still the most consistent area.
