MOLANDS . Although weights were not massive in matches this week it was a little more consistent with the new stockie carp and f1s showing better along with some of the older and larger fish and nets to around 50 lb were best. Long pole with hard pellet or maggots was the best approach and later in the day throwing maggots short and down the margins was working well. Fish to just over 20lb were caught by the carp anglers and fishing a PVA bag with a boilie on the hook was the way to go.
GEARYS . Still the most consistent pool this week with nets to over 80lb and carp to 21lb being caught in the matches. Surprisingly for November the shallow water at the top end of the pool has been the best area and pole with 6mm pellet, bomb with pellet or corn fished over micros down the margins have all worked well.
LITTLE GEARYS As with all the f1 dominated pools its been a little tough on little gearys as they are not liking the high pressure and nets to around 50lb were best.Long Pole with Maggot ,expander pellet or banded pellet or down the margins with maggot over ground bait
ANNIVERSARIES .Nets to over 40lb being caught in matches with pole fished maggot or pellet fished shallow or expander pellet, corn or dead reds fished over micros tight across to the features or down the margins has been the best approach .
SIBLINGS A Fishing a little tough with the water starting to clear with nets to around 50lb best and carp from 2-6lb and f1s to 5lb making up the catches. A pole approach is usually the best way to go but there have been some decent catches on a small method feeder fished across to the island or down the middle of the pool. Maggot fished short or pellet down the margins on the pole.
SIBLINGS B . Still fishing a little hard with nets to over 50lb made up of f1s from 2-4lbs showing along with some nice carp up to double figures. Pegs 5-12 have been the most consistent and pole fished meat, maggot ,corn or banded hard pellet the best approach.
GRATUITIES The bigger carp are coming to the waggler with pellet or a method feeder fished tight upto the island with pegs 8- 15 on the far side the most consistent area for carp from 3-10lbs. Nice mixed nets coming to maggot caster or expander pellet fished over micros fished down the middle of the pool .
WILLOW Nets to around 50lb best with plenty of small stockie carp showing along with f1s to 5lb. Pole fished pellet on the deck at 14m has been the top tactic but waggler or feeder to the island with banded pellet and down the margins with corn also doing well.
