MOLANDS Very patchy this week with weights to over 80lb best in the matches. Method feeder fished up to the island with a small wafter or a banded pellet has been the top tactic with bomb or waggler with 8mm pellet and down the margins with corn, dead reds or worm also picking up a few fish. Carp to 23lb have been caught at night with cell boilies fished over corn and hemp down the margins accounting for the better catches.
GEARYS . Still in decent form and is probably the most consistent of all of the pools at this time. Carp to 20lb have featured in catches with lots of doubles showing all around the pool. In the matches top tactics have been bomb with 8mm pellet fished at around 30 meters, method feeder out to the middle stumps or up to the islands and down the margins with big pellets, corn or dead maggot.
LITTLE GEARYS Match nets to over 100lb with pegs 7-15 still in good form this week. Caster or pellet fished shallow or on the deck has accounted for a lot of fish but method up to the island and down the margins with worm, corn or meat have also been doing well.
ANNIVERSARIES Still very up and down this week with nets to around 50lb best . Pole fished caster or pellet fished shallow or expander pellet, corn or dead reds fished over micros tight across to the features or down the margins has been the best approach but Pinging 6mm pellet and fishing the bomb or waggler over the top can be very effective as well.
SIBLINGS A Nets to 70lb this week of f1s and carp from 2 -8lb have made up the bulk of the better catches with a few odd bonus double figure samples. Caster and pellet fished shallow or up to the island has been the best tactic in matches but late in the day some great sport to be had fishing along the margins with corn or worm over ground bait.
SIBLINGS B . Fishing well with plenty of f1s from 2-4lbs showing along with some nice carp up to double figures. Pegs 1-5 and 14-18 have been the most consistent and pole fished maggot ,corn or banded hard pellet the best approach.
GRATUITIES The corner pegs 1,8,9,15 and 16 have been best for carp with fish from 3-6lb showing well along with the odd bonus double figure fish and they are coming to corn, big pellet or worm fished over ground bait or micros. Nice mixed nets coming from all around the pool with skimmers, crucians,f1s and smaller carp with maggot or expander pellet working best.
WILLOW , Has been in decent form again this week with carp and f1s showing all around the pool. Method feeder or waggler with pellet fished tight to the island and long pole with caster or pellet shallow have been the top tactics .
