FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS A much cooler and unsettled week saw the colour drop out of molands and made it even tougher than it was already. Match weights 40lb with mainly carp to double figures making up the better nets and fishing tight up to the island with waggler or bomb and pellet and in the later stages coming down the margins or short with maggot and ground bait F1s have been the most successful tactics. A few bigger carp were caught by pleasure anglers coming to boilies fished out to the island or close in down the margins with fish to 19lb reported
GEARYS Still fishing ok for late November with nets to 70lb being caught with long pole with pellet, method feeder to the middle stumps and bomb with 8mm pellet fished at around 30 metres. Carp anglers have reported fish to 20lb along with lots of high doubles. Fish based or white boilies have been working best, fished along the gravel bars on the stumps.
LITTLE GEARYS The F1s have been feeding well this week particulary where the wind has been blowing into on pegs 13-23. Top tactics are maggots fished short or shallow on the pole, small method or maggot feeder fished to the island and later in the day down the margins with corn ,maggot or pellet . There has been some bigger carp caught on the waggler and pellet fished tight to the island with fish up to 17lb landed.
GRATUITIES Carp to double figures and plenty in the 2 – 5lb range have been coming to waggler or bomb with pellet to the island in nets to 40lb +. Nice mixed silver nets were coming to caster, maggot or soft pellet fished down the middle with quality perch, roach and skimmers coming to this.
WILLOW Its been a little more difficult on willow this week with nets to around 50lb mainly F1s but a few carp also being caught. Long pole up to the island with pellet or corn, waggler and bomb on the wider pegs and down the margins with corn or 8mm pellet have all worked well.
ANNIVERSARIES Fished a little bit harder this week with F1s making up the better catches. Bomb with 6mm pellet or waggler shallow has been working in the open water and pellet or maggot up to the islands. The pegs which are in the main body of the lake or up in the top bay have been best this week.
SIBLINGS A Fished a lot harder this week with nets to around 45lb being caught it has been a little more patchy on Sibs A . Pole and pellet or maggot has been the best tactics . There has been some bigger carp with fish up to 15lb have been caught dobbing bread or pellet across to the far bank or along any nearbank reedbeds.
SIBLINGS B Fished ok this week with the F1s from 1 – 4lb in nets to 50lb with the point pegs 7 – 11 still the best area. Maggot or banded hard pellet fished short or across to the far has been the top tactic with dobbing bread along the far bank cover also working.
