MOLANDS . A much milder week saw sport improve and was more consistent with carp and f1s showing on most areas with nets in matches to 60lb +. In the matches bomb or waggler to the island ,long pole with banded pellet and down the margins with dead maggot or corn have all produced a few fish. Night fishing has resumed and over the weekend carp to 20lb were reported by anglers stopping overnight.

GEARYS . The high bank from pegs 9-13 and the far side from 30-36 is still the best with nets to 60lb being caught in matches with waggler and pellet or bomb with punched bread the top tactics. The silver fish sport has go a little better with nets to around 30lb coming to maggot or pinkies fished over groundbait.

LITTLE GEARYS The warmer weather saw a much-improved Little Gearys with nets to over 140lb with the bigger f1s having a go and decent catches coming from all around the pool. The better nets were caught on maggots fished over ground bait down the margins but maggot feeder or waggler with pellet alco working.

ANNIVERSARIES Decent fishing with most pegs producing plenty of bites with f1s and small carp the main target but there were a number of double figure carp caught as well. On the open water pegs bomb or waggler with 6 mm pellet has been best with pole and maggot or pellet up to the feature working on the other pegs.

SIBLINGS A Fishing much better with nets to 100lb over the weekend with carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb featuring in catches. Dobbing bread across to the island, maggot or pellet fished down the middle on the deck or shallow and down the margins with corn or maggot over ground bait have all been producing.

SIBLINGS B . Like all the pools there were much better catches this week with over 100lb winning the lake on Sunday’s winter league. Pole fished pellet or maggot fished across to the island or short at 5m has been the best tactic.

GRATUITIES Nice mixed nets of skimmers, roach, perch and chub coming to maggot or caster fished on the pole or waggler. A few carp up to double figures have come to punched bread on the bomb or waggler fished across to the island

WILLOW Nets to around 45lb were best this week with F1s and carp to 4lbs making up the catches. Waggler with pellet or bomb with pellet/bread and long pole with banded hard pellet have been the best approach with pegs 3-6 still the most consistent area.
