FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS It has been tough but for some rewarding on Molands as the water has been very clear. Nets to over 60lb were caught with bomb and pellet or waggler fished across to the island or down the middle the better tactic for F1s and carp. Later in the day, maggots fished short have accounted for some big F1s to 8lb. The better areas have been pegs 2 – 8, 25 – 31, 43 – 45 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Still fishing ok for the end of November with plenty of carp up to 20lb being caught along with some nice nets of silver fish. The carp are coming to method feeder on boilies fished out to the middle stumps or bomb with pellet usually around 30 metres out and there are even a few still being caught down the edge on corn over micros. The better sized skimmers have responded best to a small cage feeder fished with maggots on the hook.

LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool on the fishery at the moment with nets of carp and F1s to 100lb this week along with good back up catches from all around the pool. Pole fished maggot close in or out to 16 metres has been the top tactic with banded hard pellet also working. In the afternoons, maggots fished down then margins have also worked well.

GRATUITIES Lots of bites if you fish maggot with some nice skimmers and quality roach being caught from all around the pool. The carp are coming to bomb and bread or corn fished across to the middle island with fish to double figures coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES Steady fishing on areas this week with nets to 40lb, mainly of F1s but a few nice carp and big ide also being caught. Pellet or maggot on the pole has been the top tactic but banded 6mm/8mm on the bomb in the open water has also accounted for some nice fish.

WILLOW Fished hard this week with only a few carp and F1s showing. Waggler or a small feeder to the island has been best.
SIBLINGS A Patchy but good if you are on the fish with some quality carp into double figures being caught along with F1s to 5lb. Dobbing bread across or down the near margin has been best for the bigger fish with maggot fished short working well for numbers of smaller fish.

SIBLINGS B Like most of the pools the water has now cleared and the majority of fish are sitting in the deeper channel down the middle or across near the features on the far side. Dobbing bread or corn has been good but the best tactic is fishing maggots down the middle with nets to 45lb, mainly F1s.
