FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS The milder conditions have improved sport with decent catches being caught from all around the pool. In the matches, nets to around 75lb were best and bomb with pellet or bread, method feeder with small wafters and long pole with hard pellet catching carp and F1s. Carp anglers had fish to 21lb 12oz this week with boilies fished right upto the island working best.

GEARYS In the week nets to around 70lb+ were caught with Method feeder with wafter or small discs of punched bread, bomb with 8mm pellet and banded hard pellet on the pole all worked well and with the milder weather carp were also being caught down the margins on corn or dead maggots. Silver nets to over 35lb were also taken with maggots or pinkies fished over ground bait best.

LITTLE GEARYS Good consistent sport this week with catches to over 50lb being caught from all around the pool. Pole fished banded pellet or maggot fished out to 14.5 metres or down the margins was the top tactic but maggot feeder and method feeder also worked well.

ANNIVERSARIES Nets to around 50lb were best this week, mainly F1s but a few ‘stockie’ carp were also being caught. Bomb or waggler in the open water on pegs 6, 10 and 17 – 23 fishing banded 6mm pellet on the hook accounted for the better nets but pole fished maggots or corn also worked well.

SIBLINGS A Nets to over 60lb this week with carp to 10lb and F1s to 5lb featuring. Dobbing bread or corn along the island and fishing maggots down the middle were the best tactics.

SIBLINGS B Much better sport this week with most pegs producing nets to around 60lb this week. Maggots or pellet fished down the middle of the pool has been the best approach but the odd bigger fish coming to bread dobbed across to the far back.

GRATUITIES Mostly fished for silvers this week with nets to 20lb of roach, skimmers and the odd chub or crucians. Maggots or pinkies on the pole over ground bait worked best. A few carp coming to bomb and bread fished up to the island.

WILLOW Pole fished pellet fished down the middle has worked best for carp and F1s to 5lb in nets to around 60lb. The odd bigger carp are coming to 8mm pellet fished up to the island on the bomb or waggler.
