FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS Nets to around 100lb were best and the fishing was good in areas but a little patchy on others. In the matches, method feeder or bomb/waggler with pellet fished tight to the island, shallow with pellet at 14m or down the margins, later in the day with pellet, dead maggot or worm have been the top tactics. Carp anglers have had fish to over 22lb with lots of doubles coming out and boilies fished across to the island or close in down the margins has worked well.
GEARYS Still in very good form with match weights to 160lb and carp are showing all around the pool. Bomb with pellet, method feeder to the middle stumps, short pole with 8mm pellet and down the margins with pellet, corn or dead maggot have all accounted for big catches this week.
Good nets of silvers up to 50lb with lots of skimmers showing to the pole fished caster, pellet or worm over ground bait.
LITTLE GEARYS Steady sport through the week with nets to around 90lb best. A small pellet/method feeder to the island, long pole with hard pellet on the ‘deck’ or shallow and down the margins with dead reds, caster or banded 6mm pellet have been the most consistent ways to catch. The top pegs have been on the far side from 7 – 15.
GRATUITIES Nice nets of silvers are coming to maggot, caster or expander pellet fished over ground bait or micro pellets. Carp to double figures and plenty in the 2 – 4lb range are coming to a small method or pellet feeder fished to the island or down the margins on paste or corn.
ANNIVERSARIES The F1s are a lot more consistent at the moment with F1s and small carp showing on most pegs. Pellet or caster on the deck or shallow has been the top tactic but on the wider areas a small feeder or the bomb with 6mm or 8mm pellet has worked well.
SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with carp to double figures and F1s to 5lb making up the better catches. Pole fished corn, pellet or dead maggot over micros fished tight up to the island or down the margins has worked well and shallow pellet or caster is also catching.
SIBLINGS B There have been lots of F1s from 1 – 3lb showing on all pegs with a few bonus carp to 10lb also featuring in nets. Worm, corn or pellet fished down the margins or caster/maggot shallow have been the best tactics.
WILLOW Much better this week with nets to 80lb made up of carp to 6lb and F1s to 5lb. Waggler or feeder fished tight to the island or corn, paste or big pellets fished down the margins has been the most consistent approach on Willow.
