REPORT
MOLANDS Molands was in good form during the week with the big F1s really having a go and shallow pole with caster or maggot has accounted for some terrific catches with 165lb the top weight. Carp to over 15lb have also featured this week and method feeder or bomb with boilies or pellets are working best. Later in the day down the margins fishing with corn or dead maggot is also working well. Best pegs have been around Scarecrow Point with 41 – 48 the top area but pegs 2, 8, 23, ,29, 31 and 60 have also been worth a go.
GEARYS A little bit better this week with nets to around 80lb and the bigger sized carp were showing in numbers. Fish to 19lb featured in catches with bomb and pellet or method feeder with dead maggot accounting for the better nets. Decent sport to be had along the high bank with skimmers to 3lb in silver nets to around 30lb coming to expander pellet or caster fished at five metres or 13 metres.
LITTLE GEARYS Very slow by Little Gearys standards with nets to around 50lb best this week. Shallow caster or maggot has accounted for the better nets but pellet feeder and down the margins with corn, caster or pellet. The top end of the pool from pegs 3 round to 12 has been the most consistent area.
SIBLINGS A Plenty of carp around the 3lb mark along with the odd fish to 13lb have been showing this week and nets to around 70lb have been caught this week. Pole with pellet, punched bread and corn fished along the far bank has been the top tactic. Banded hard pellet over micros has also been working well.
SIBLINGS B Fished well at the start of the week but sport slowed down at the weekend with the much colder weather affecting sport. Catches to over 70lb were caught this week with pole and caster or pellet down the inside and long pole or a small pellet feeder fished tight across also accounting for decent catches.
WILLOW Catches have been down on previous weeks but Willow is still providing decent sport from F1s, carp, crucians and skimmers. Pole fished paste, pellet or caster are all catching at the moment with shallow tactics also doing well on some days.
GRATUITIES Lots of skimmers, crucians, roach and small carp are coming to long pole with expander pellet or caster fished on the deck at 13 metres. The bigger carp are coming to corn, fished over micros down the margins or at five metres.
