REPORT
MOLANDS The best bait on Molands is meat fished close in at 4 – 6 metres or right down the margins for big F1s to 6lb and the odd carp. Waggler with pellet fished tight up to the island is working for the bigger carp in the matches with fish to 15lb falling to this. Match weights to over 150lb but this pool has been a bit patchy with the very changeable weather in the last week.
GEARYS Very much up and down this week with the cooler changeable weather unsettling the fish but weights in matches to over 100lb were recorded and by the weekend there was some improvement with the fishing a little more consistent. The bigger carp are being caught off the top on floater or on method feeder with wafter or boilies on the hook. Decent nets of skimmers, crucians and small carp are being caught on pole with corn, or pellet as well.
LITTLE GEARYS There were nets to 130lb at the start of the week but through the week with the cooler conditions the fishing tailed off towards the weekend. Pole fished paste, pellet, meat and corn have been the best baits fished close in or down the margins. Fishing caster shallow is also worth a try the moment.
ANNIVERSARIES Probably the most consistent pool this week with decent nets of F1s and carp being caught from all around the pool. Long pole with pellet or paste have been the best tactic but on the open pegs, a small method or pellet feeder is worth a go.
WILLOW Pellet waggler or a small pellet feeder is the best approach at the moment on Willow and nets to around 50lb have been caught on these tactics. Later in the day, corn and paste down the margins are accounting for some decent carp to around 15lb.
SIBLINGS A Still fishing patchy with pegs 1 – 9 showing a bit of consistency and mixed nets of carp, F1s, ide and skimmers are being caught on paste, caster or pellet fished down the track or across to the island.
SIBLINGS B As with the last few weeks, Siblings ’B’ has given more consistent sport with lots of F1s being caught along with a few decent carp to double figures, tench and skimmers. Fishing down the middle with caster, pellet or paste then moving into the margins later in day has been the best approach.
