REPORT
MOLANDS Molands is in much better form this week with plenty of 100lb+ catches in the matches and pleasure anglers enjoying equally good sport. The big F1s are showing well with fish to 8lb weighed in this week and pole with pellet fished short at five metres is the top tactic but method/pellet feeder and down the edges with meat and corn have caught well also. Carp to nearly 20lb are coming to boilies fished across to the island.
GEARYS Not so prolific as previous weeks with nets to around 80lb best but some decent sized carp are being caught and fish to 19lb have featured this week. Method feeder, bomb and pellet or pole at five metres with 6mm pellet have been the best tactics this week. Best areas have been pegs 1, 6 – 13, 16 – 21 and 30 – 32.
LITTLE GEARYS Nets to around 100lb have been caught made up of decent sized F1s in the
2 – 3lb range along with carp up to 15lb. Shallow tactics are still accounting for the bigger bags with pellet or caster at around 13 metres best. A small method to the island, pellet waggler with 6mm pellet and meat down the margins have also caught plenty of fish.
SIBLINGS A Carp, F1s, ide and skimmers are being caught on pellet or maggot fished short at five metres in nets to around 50lb. The bigger carp are coming to corn or maggot fished over ground bait tight to the island.
SIBLINGS B Picked up well with nets of F1s to around 80lb coming to short pole with pellet or paste. The bigger carp are being caught on meat or corn fished to the far bank. The end of the pool on pegs 7 – 12 has been the most consistent area.
GRATUITIES A little better this week with carp to double figures coming to pellet or corn fished across to the island on the bomb or waggler and a small pellet feeder also catching to the island. There have been lots of skimmers and crucians coming to maggot or soft pellet fished down the middle of the pool as well.
ANNIVERSARIES Mainly F1s making up the catches with fish to 1 – 3lb coming to float fished corn, paste or pellet. A few bigger carp are being caught at the top end from pegs 1 – 4 and 7 – 9 with floating baits taking fish from 8 – 15lb.
WILLOW A little up and down this week but on the good days it has been fishing well with nets of carp and F1s coming to a variety of tactics including shallow pole and pellet, wafter or feeder to the island and down the margins with worm, corn or meat.
