FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS- The carp have made up the better catches with fish to 23lb reported this week and lots of fish from 15-20lb showing. In the matches mugging tactics on the pole or waggler has been working best with bomb and pellet also worth a look. The f1s are a little more difficult to get in numbers but shallow caster or 6mm pellet has got nets to 50lb.The most consistent pegs have been 1-8,21-29 and 41-48
GEARYS- Still a little spawning activity going on this week but nets to 174 lb were caught in matches with bomb and pellet, shallow pole with pellet and down the margins with dead reds catching. Pleasure anglers targeting the carp have had fish to over 20lb in catches of up to 30 fish in a session with surface tactics and on the bottom with boilies working.
LITTLE GEARYS- Been a tough week with the fish showing best from peg 15 round to peg 27 where catches to 130lb were caught on shallow pole with caster or mugging the carp on waggler and pole. The other peg fished a lot harder and method feeder was the best on those pegs.
ANNIVERSARIES- Like most of the pools with f1s in ,the fishing has been a little patchy this past week and catches to around 60lb were best. Long pole with caster,4/6mm banded pellet or worm was the most consistent way of catching, fishing tight up to an island or feature .
SIBLINGS A – Carp to over 15lb were caught in catches to 80lb and mugging tactics or down the margins with cornor worm was the best way to catch them. Some decent catches of f1s coming to caster or pellet shallow but more overcast conditions were needed for this to work.
SIBLINGS B- A little more consistent this week with nets to 85lb coming to caster/worm or banded hard pellet fished short on the pole. Mugging accounted for some nice carp upto 14lb.
WILLOW- Steady fishing this week with carp and f1s to 5lb making up the bulk of catches but a few bonus carp to 16lb were reported as well. Waggler or a small method feeder to the island and long pole with pellet, caster or corn all working at the moment.
GRATUITIES- Nice mixed nets of f1s, skimmers, crucians, roach and chub coming to float fished expander pellet, maggot and caster. Some nice carp being caught off the top or shallow on a pellet waggler with fish to 15lb showing to this.
