REPORT
MOLANDS Fished well through the week with nets to over 100lb coming to pole fished maggot and pellet. The high pressure at the weekend saw sport tumble with the F1s totally shutting up shop and the better catches made up of carp or silver fish which came to pinkies, bomb and pellet or maggot fished close in on the pole.
GEARYS Carp to 18lb featured in catches this week but generally the sport was a little slow. Match weights to around 50lb but pleasure anglers caught a few more, particularly those fishing until dark when the fish were more obliging. Bomb and pellet, method feeder and pellet feeder all caught and silver nets were coming to maggot or caster on the pole.
LITTLE GEARYS Problems with the oxygen levels saw sport dip early in the week but with the multiple aerators working things were back to normal quickly and the sport at the weekend was much better. The F1s were caught all around the pool in nets to 60lb with pole fished maggot, caster or pellet the best approach.
SIBLINGS A Again a little more patchy this week with pegs 1 – 7 showing the most consistent form and F1s, ide, carp and skimmers have been caught on pellet or maggot on the pole either across or down the middle.
SIBLINGS B Catches to around 50lb best but decent sport to be had on all pegs with the F1s and carp showing all over. Long pole with pellet or maggot fished over micros working well and for the better stamp of fish, dobbing bread across is successful.
WILLOW Fished ok with F1s providing the bulk of the catches and pellet feeder or waggler to the island is catching well. Some decent cap still being caught down the margins with corn fished over micros best for fish to double figures.
ANNIVERSARIES F1s are showing well in areas with nets to 50lb+ being caught and pellet, maggot or caster on the pole is the best tactic. A few fish are coming to maggot feeder on the more open pegs.
