REPORT
MOLANDS Suffering from post-spawning blues with the carp and F1s shutting up shop made the fishing very difficult this week. Nets to around 40 -50lb have been best this week with bomb and boilies or wafters working best for carp and worm or paste best for the F1s. Pleasure anglers have caught carp to 15lb+ off the top on bread or Chum mixer.
GEARYS Starting to pick up after the fish were spawning and nets to around 80lb were best in matches and pleasure anglers fishing into the evenings have enjoyed even better sport. Carp to nearly 20lb have featured in catches and bomb with big pellets is the top tactic at the moment. The shallow water from pegs 19 – 31 has been the most consistent area.
LITTLE GEARYS Like all of the pools the fishing has been a lot tougher this week with nets to 60lb of F1s making up the better catches. Pole and pellet or caster fished shallow and a small method/pellet feeder to the island are the best tactics at the moment.
GRATUITIES Lots of silvers providing plenty of bites with skimmers, crucians, roach, perch and the odd tench coming to float fished corn, expander pellet or caster fished down the middle of the pool. The carp are coming up for Chum mixer and bread or caught shallow on a pellet waggler.
WILLOW Fishing tight to the island is best with a small feeder or where you can reach on pole dobbing corn or pellet. Plenty of silvers to be caught on float fished maggot or caster as well.
SIBLINGS A The ide have been giving decent sport on maggot or caster fished shallow with fish to 1½lb coming out in nets to 30lb. F1s, carp and skimmers have been caught on long pole with pellet or worm fished tight up to the island.
SIBLINGS B Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with lots of F1s being caught on pole and pellet, paste or meat fished tight across or down the middle.
