REPORT
MOLANDS Fishing very well at the moment with match weights in excess of 150lb. The top tactics have been method feeder tight across to the island for carp to double figures and F1s to over 6lb. Caster fished shallow at 10 – 14.5 metres is also working well. Pleasure anglers have been catching off the top with carp to high double figures falling to mixers.
GEARYS Matches have seen nets to 130lb winning but it has been patchy on Gearys this week. Top tactics have been bomb and pellet or down the margins with maggot or corn. Carp anglers fishing boilies have had fish to nearly 20lb.
LITTLE GEARYS Still the most consistent pool on the fishery with nets to over 100lb common on matches and by pleasure anglers. Shallow tactics are best with caster or pellet fished on jiggers or conventional shallow rigs working best. Later in the day corn or pellet is also catching lots of carp and F1s.
SIBLINGS A The pleasure anglers have caught plenty of carp, F1s and ide on float fished maggot or pellet. Spraying maggot or caster is best on matches and the more you feed the better they come.
SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s are coming to paste or pellet with every peg providing good sport this week. The bigger carp are coming to corn dobbed along the far bank.
WILLOW Good mixed nets of carp, F1s and skimmers are being caught on pole fished hard pellet. Corn or paste fished down the margins is proving action with the bigger fish coming to this later in the day.
ANNIVERSARIES Still a little up and down with nets to around 60 – 80lb best, mainly F1s but small carp and skimmers also being caught. Pole fished banded pellet or maggot over micros is the best approach but a small pellet feeder on the open water swims is also catching.
