FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The fishing has been very patchy this week with night frosts and high pressure affecting sport. Carp to 25lb were the highlight with a number of 20lb + fish reported this week mainly by carp anglers fishing boilies across to the island or off the top on dog biscuit but there were a couple weighed in during matches. Nets to around 100lb were best in the matches with waggler/bomb and big pellets to the island or meat short or down the margins the best tactics.

GEARYS The carp have been having a go this week with fish to 22lb and nets to 120lb and most parts of the pool are producing a few fish. In the matches bomb with pellet, method feeder or mugging have been the best tactics. You cannot ignore the skimmers at the moment with nets to over 50lb being caught on banded hard pellet, expanders or worm on the pole. Carp anglers are catching well on boilies fished with PVA bags.

LITTLE GEARYS Still a little patchy with the middle pegs on either side still producing the better catches. In matches nets to 80lb have been best with meat short ,shallow pole and caster or pellet and method feeder to the island all catching.

ANNIVERSARIES Like all of the f1 dominated pools its been a bit tougher this week with them not feeding great in high pressure. Nets to around 50lb were best with caster or pellet shallow, banded hard pellet on the deck or on the wider pegs bomb with 6mmpellet and method feeder working best.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been caught on waggler and bomb with 8mm pellet fished to the island. The margin sport on the corner pegs has been really good with worm or meat catching lots of carp and f1s. For those that like the silver fish nets to 25lb of nice sized roach and skimmers are being caught on maggot or caster

WILLOW The most consistent pool at the moment with pegs 5-10 producing nets to over 100lb made up of carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb.shallow tactics starting to dominate but waggler or feeder to the island and down the margins with meat or corn also catching well.

SIBLINGS A Fished better this week with match and pleasure anglers reporting catches to 70lb Corn or meat down the margin or maggot/pellet down the middle and banded 6mm pellet across to the island have been the best tactics for carp to double figures and big f1s

SIBLINGS B Nets to around 125lb were caught this week and most pegs producing decent sport but the fish moved in numbers back to the end of the point from pegs 7-11 which were fishing well. Meat or caster on the short pole and shallow cater have been the best approach.
