REPORT
MOLANDS It has been a lot tougher this week on Molands with nets to around 60lb best made up mainly of F1s to around 5lb with the odd carp to double figures also showing. Maggot has been the top bait fished either on the pole long at 14 metres or on a maggot feeder fished across to the island. Best pegs have been 2 – 6, 19 – 25, 29, 39 – 45 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS Despite the early part of the week being frosty and cold the carp were still feeding quite well for the time of year. Catches to 100lb were made and pole fished pellet accounted for fish to 15lb. Carp anglers fishing boilies and PVA bags caught fish to nearly 20lb. The best areas have been for those that can cast to the middle stumps or on the wider part of the lake and the hot pegs have been 9 – 13, 18, 19, 30 – 33 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Fishing well for November with match weights to over 120lb caught this week. As with all of the F1 pools, maggot has been the top bait fished on the pole, short at five metres or at around 13 metres. Maggot feeder is also catching plenty of fish. The carp are coming to bomb or waggler and bread fished tight to the island.
ANNIVERSARIES Lots of F1s being caught all around the pool and nets to 80lb were caught on pole fished maggot, pellet or punched bread. The pegs fishing into the long bank on 16 -23 have been the most consistent for F1s. Carp have been showing on the early pegs with pole fished bread or bomb and bread accounting for fish to double figures.
SIBLINGS A The fish are shoaling now with the water going a lot clearer but decent nets have been made this week with punched bread and corn dobbed along the far bank or pole fished maggot and pellet down the middle. Best pegs have been 2, 5 and 13 – 17.
SIBLINGS B Very good on Siblings ‘B’ with lots of F1s being caught on maggot or pellet and catches to 100lb+ were made this week. The end of the pool from pegs 5 – 11 has been the best area.
WILLOW It has been a little hard on Willow this week with the F1s and carp shutting up shop. Nets to around 30lb were best with pole fished pellet over micros the best approach and fishing down the margins with maggot also accounting for a few fish. Pegs 1 – 3 and 9 – 11 have been the better pegs.
