REPORT

MOLANDS Despite the water going much clearer with the cooler weather, the fishing has been ok although a little up and down with match weights to 130lb caught this week. The F1s have been coming best to short pole and pellet fished at around six metres down the first shelf. Carp to 18lb have been caught fishing across to the island with bomb/pellet, waggler pellet or method feeder accounting for the better fish. The Scarecrow Point has been the most consistent area from pegs 40 – 60.

GEARYS Like all of the pools, Gearys has been affected by the cooler changeable conditions but some good fishing still to be had and nets to 150lb have been caught this week. Method feeder with dead reds or a wafter on the hook, bomb with 8mm pellet and pole and pellet at
13 metres have been the best tactics for carp. Decent nets of silvers are coming to pole fished maggot or chopped worm and caster.

LITTLE GEARYS It has been quite tough on Little Gearys this week with fish being caught from all around the pool but nets to 70lb best. Pellet fished at around 13 metres or close in down the first shelf have been the top tactics. On the warmer days, the fish are still coming shallow to caster and pellet. The bigger carp are showing to bomb/waggler with 6mm pellet fished across to the island. Pegs 7 – 15 and 21 – 29 have been the best pegs.

SIBLINGS A In matches nets to around 50lb have been best this week with carp, ide and F1s being caught. Shallow maggot tactics are working best but pellet fished short or down the edge is worth a go as well. As the water clears, bread or corn fished across to the island will become the most affective tactics.

SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s are being caught on the pole fished across at 11 – 13 metres or close in at five metres. Blasting maggots close in is also working well for more mixed catches.

GRATUITIES There are reports of more mixed nets of carp, skimmers and crucians coming to float fished pellet, caster or maggot. The carp are coming to bomb with pellet or bread fished across to the island.

ANNIVERSARIES There are lots of F1s being caught from all around the pool with fish to 4lb coming to pole fished caster or pellet and on the wider pegs, a pellet feeder or small method is working well. A few bigger carp are showing on the low numbered pegs from 1 – 6 with fish to double figures coming out to corn over micros.

WILLOW Plenty of carp are being caught across to the island with a pellet waggler or method/pellet feeder. There are still some carp coming to floaters with fish to double figures being caught on this and F1s to be had on pole and pellet on the ‘deck’ or shallow.
