MOLANDS The much colder week and heavy frosts saw a downturn in sport, particularly the mornings, but would improve later in the day. Carp to 16lb, F1s to 8lb, bream to 5lb and tench to 5lb all featured in catches with nets estimated to around 70lb caught. Pellet and method feeder to the island, wafter with punched bread or pellet and long pole with hard pellet or maggot all accounted for a few fish.

GEARYS Gearys has still not reached its full potential and the cold nights saw it fishing a little harder still. Catches of up to ten carp to high double figures were caught by carp anglers using boilies with PVA bags. Match style fishing saw decent nets of bream and skimmers with the odd carp and pole fished worm/caster or soft pellet working along the high bank. Method or pellet feeder were best on the other areas.

LITTLE GEARYS The top pool last week with some cracking nets of F1s to 5lb being caught. Down the margins and later on in the day has been the most prolific time, fishing meat, corn or pellet over micros. Pellet waggler and pellet feeder have also been producing big catches. Pegs 6 – 16 on the far side and 23 – 30 on the carp park bank have been the top areas.

GRATUITIES There have been plenty of silvers to be caught on fine tactics with maggot or caster catching skimmers, roach, perch, crucians and the odd tench. The carp have been a little tougher to catch with a few fish falling to feeders fished tight to the island and wafter with pellet or punched bread.

WILLOW Like all of the pools, the colder weather has affected sport but anglers are still reporting good nets of F1s mainly but carp and skimmers also featuring. Pellet feeder or wafter fished to the island and down the margins with pellet or maggot have been the top tactics.

SIBLINGS A Fished well early in the week with carp to double figures and big F1s being caught from most areas but got much tougher at the weekend after the frosts. Pole fished pellet or corn across to the island or down the margins have been the most successful approach.

SIBLINGS B A very mixed week, one day fishing well and the next hard. Pegs 7 – 13 have been the most consistent producing F1s from 1 – 4lb on pole fished maggot or pellet and paste is starting to produce a few as well.

ANNIVERSARIES The open water in the middle of the pool has been the most consistent with pegs 6 and 16 – 23 producing the best catches. Pellet wager with 6mm pellet, long pole with maggot, pellet or caster and maggot feeder have all caught lots of F1s, carp, ide and skimmers.
