REPORT
MOLANDS Fished quite hard this week with the F1s switching off and it has been the carp that have provided the main catches. Method or pellet feeder fished tight to the island has been best with dead maggot or hard pellet on the hook. Pole and paste fished shallow has caught a few F1s with a few fish to 7lb coming out. Best pegs have been 2 – 6, 12, 15, 29, 43 – 46 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS The carp have been on the top all over the pool over the past week with the warm weather. Fish to high double figures have been caught off the top with bread or dog biscuit catching plenty. In the matches, bomb and pellet or pellet waggler has been best for the carp. Good nets of silvers are coming out with bags to 50lb coming to caster or pellet fished over ground bait. Best pegs 7 – 13, 18 – 21, 27, 31 and 35.
LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool on the fishery at the moment with nets of F1s to 100lb coming out regularly to pleasure anglers and most pegs capable of good weights. A short pole with pellet or pinkies fished shallow at 13 metres and a small method feeder are the top tactics.
GRATUITIES Plenty of carp are being caught shallow off the top with fish to double figures coming to pellet waggler or surface baits. Good mixed catches are being caught on caster fished short at 5 metres with crucians, tench, carp and skimmers all coming to this.
SIBLINGS A Good nets of ide, F1s, carp and skimmers are coming to paste, pellet or meat fished on the pole to the island or down the middle. A small pellet feeder to the island is also working at the moment.
SIBLINGS B F1s all the way with shallow pole and pellet or caster catching lots of fish in the 12oz – 1½lb range. Pegs 3 – 10 are the most consistent at the moment.
WILLOW In good form with lots of carp and F1s coming to a variety of tactics with pellet waggler, method feeder and paste fishing down the margins and all catching plenty of fish.
