REPORT
MOLANDS The fishing has been quite hard on Molands this week with weights to around 80lb best. The F1s have switched off but good-sized carp are still being caught from most areas of the lake. Bomb with 8mm or 10mm pellet, method feeder and pellet waggler, all fished tight to the island have all caught fish with pegs 21 – 29 and 41 – 46 the most consistent areas.
GEARYS Still fishing patchy with nets to nearly 90lb best. Carp to 20lb have featured in catches and the skimmers have been showing better this week with fish to 4lb being caught. Bomb or pellet wager with big pellets for the carp and pole fished corn or dead maggot are working best for mixed nets of silvers. Pegs 9 – 13, 19, 23 and 31 have been the most successful.
LITTLE GEARYS Like most of the pools, Little Gearys has been a little more difficult this week with nets to around 70lb best. The F1s are showing best down the margins later on in the day with corn, dead maggot or caster fished tight working best. Carp to double figures are showing to the pellet waggler or a small method to the island.
ANNIVERSARIES F1s are showing better in the open water where a small pellet feeder/open end feeder with micros and maggots on the hook have been taking nets to 50lb. Pole fished maggot or pellet working better where is a feature to fish to.
SIBLINGS A It has been a slow week with carp and F1s in nets to around 30 – 40lb best. Long pole fished across to the island is the best tactic feeding micros and fishing corn or banded hard pellet.
SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s from 1 – 2lb are being caught on pole fished pellet or maggot either shallow or long across to the far bank.
WILLOW The most consistent pool over the last week with lots of carp and F1s up to 4lb being caught on shallow tactics against the island or on a method/pellet feeder. Pellet or caster fished on a jigger has been the top tactic. The bigger carp are coming close into the margins later in the day and corn or paste have accounted for fish to over double figures.
