It was a very quiet week with the wet weather followed by windy conditions putting people off. Those that made it find the fishing good with the anglers fishing from boats catching well along with some parts of the bank.
Steve Gowan of Knowle fished along the wires bank of Cocks Close and caught five fish on black Buzzers fished on a floating line and this area has been the best over the past week.
The biggest fish was a 9lb 8oz rainbow caught by fishery stalwart Rod Lacey of Nuneaton who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and it was the best of a 16 fish catch taken on his favourite pattern the Diawl Bach on a floating line. Mr Troth fished from a boat on Cocks Close and caught eight fish to 4lb using small Dries and Damsel Nymphs.
On the Park Meadow pool, Harold Pritchett of Atherstone caught ten fish to 4½lb using Damsel Nymphs and orange Blobs.
