Last week there 43 rods caught 122 fish for an average of 2.83.

It was very pleasant at the start of the week which saw an upturn in the number of rods but the cold weather towards the weekend put paid to the revival.

Fishery regular Dave Bratby of Birmingham caught ten fish to 4lb fishing from the bank of Cocks Close and these all came to a mini Cats Whisker and a Damsel Nymph. Curtis Perdue of Birmingham caught and returned seven fish to 3lb from the bank of Cocks Close and these all came to a Damsel Nymph. Mr K Bryant of Rugby fished from the bank and caught and returned six fish using a hot head Damsel fishing a floating line. Derek Brookes of Nuneaton fished the bank of Cocks Close and caught seven fish to 3lb on a combination of Cats Whiskers and Damsels.

The old boat jetty corner is the hotspot on Cocks Close with the lodge corner picking out a few fish.

Mainly Lures on intermediate or floating lines are catching with Cats Whisker, black Tadpole and big Damsels accounting for the better catches.

The Trout Fishery is open seven days a week from 8am until dusk.
