FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 25/6/17

Last week 22 rods caught 28 fish for an average of 1.27.

It was a very quiet week on the fishery with the extremely hot weather at the start of the week putting off the customers and the fish.

Harold Pritchett of Atherstone fished the Park Meadow pool from a boat and caught seven fish to 3lb using a small Gold Head Damsel on a floating line. Dave Kimbrell and Derek Jones caught a couple of fish a piece whilst sharing a boat on Cocks Close and they all came to small Nymphs fished on a floating line.

The fishing will close on Cocks Close pool on June 30th for the summer break and will re-open late September. Park Meadow will continue to be open for membership and day tickets but advance booking is essential. For further details please contact 01676 522754.
