Last week 33 rods caught 215 fish for an average of 6.51 fish per rod
The first real cold snap of winter saw less rods visiting last week but those who braved the cold were rewarded with some great sport.
The biggest fish of the week was a rainbow of 7lb 4oz caught by venue regular Paul Flanner of Worcester who was fishing from a boat on Cocks close, this was best of a 24 fish catch that were all caught on black and green lures.Paul Fleeman of Reddich also fished from a boat on Cocks close and he caught and released a total of 19 fish to 4.5lband these all fell to montana nymphs fished on a floating line.Gary Owen of Leicester also enjoyed a great day from a boat on Cocks close putting back over 20 rainbows to 4lb on a white rubber legs pattern
The top flies have been Cats Whisker, black or olive Buzzer, Bloodworm, Minkies, black Tadpole, Diawl Bach and Montana Nymph.
The fish are spread around the pool better now with the hotspots being the old boat jetty and the sand bank of Cocks Close.
