FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 7/1/18

Last week there 24 rods who caught 90 fish for an average of 3.75.

It has been a cold week which has put off a lot of anglers but the fishing has been good.

Fishery regular Rod Lacey of Nuneaton caught the biggest rainbow of the week at 8lb and this came to a Diawl Bach fished on a floating line from a boat on Cocks Close. Mr R Wheat also of Nuneaton fished the bank of Cocks Close and caught eight fish to 3lb on a Cats Whisker fished on a slow sinking line.

Alan Mann of Solihull took a boat out on the Park Meadow pool and caught and returned a total of 12 fish to 3lb and these all fell to a Cats Whisker.

The best areas have been the high bank and the old boat jetty corner on Cocks Close and most fish are now coming to Lures such as Cats Whisker, Appetizer, Minkies and black Tadpoles.

The Trout Fishery is open seven days a week from 8am until dusk.
