Last week 51 rods caught 81 fish for an average of 1.59 fish per rod
The hot and bright weather has really had a detrimental effect on the sport this week with the fishing hard through the middle of the week. When it was overcast the fish were more willing to feed and it improved.
The largest fish of the week was a 9lb rainbow caught and released by Harold Pritchett of Nuneaton who was fishing on the Park Meadow pool from a boat. Harold caught a total of 11 fish using small black and green Tadpoles.
Harold Lewis of Knowle caught five rainbows to 4lb from a boat on Cocks Close and these came to Buzzers and Diawl Bach fished on a floating line. Les Bagnall of Birmingham also caught five from a boat on Cocks Close and these came to Damsels fished on a floating line.
The best areas have been the wires bank and from the middle willows back towards the lodge on Cocks Close with Park Meadow fishing best from the middle of the dam wall to the far side from the boat jetty.
The Fishery is open from 8am until dusk.
