Kamasan Starlets rod Hadrian Whittle topped the latest Hereford Open with a stunning 94lb bag of chub and roach, and what’s more there wasn’t a fish over 2lb in his net.
The competitors found the river in perfect trim for the first time in ages and when Hadrian drew fancied peg 64 above the main road bridge he knew he was in for a great day’s sport. His catch fell to bronze maggot fished under a 6gr Bolo float in mid river and the event also produced more very good weights, including a 73-9-0 bag of chub from peg 61 to Dave Brittain. Dave Roberts had 70lb for third, with the top nine anglers weighing in over 550lb of fish!
