Pete Rice had a brilliant week at Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery with three match wins including one weight over 200lb. Pete kicked things off in the Monday open match by weighing in 161-6-0 from peg 21 on Jenny’s Pool.
He was fourth in the Tuesday match on New Pool and third in Wednesday’s open on Club Pool, albeit with another ton-up bag. But he was back at the head of affairs on Friday on Extension, weighing in a brilliant 212-15-0 from peg 26 in a high quality affair which saw over 110lb needed to finish fifth.
Pete fished again on Saturday, finishing fourth of the 30 competitors with 129lb, and rounded up a very profitable week with another win on New Pool, drawing peg 39 and taking 147-4-0 to the scales. Short pole and caster through slop groundbait did most of the damage.
