A strong wind and low temperatures made fishing hard for many of the anglers in this qualifying round of Fish ‘O’ Mania held at Woodland View Fishery, Droitwich on Wednesday 6th April 2016.
Deans Pool was the lake to draw with most of the weights coming from here. Getting in on the reserve list was Andy Power fishing for Prestons who drew peg 34 on Back Deans. His first hour was a blank, in the second hour the carp moved in when Andy took carp to 6 lbs on 4mm pellet, hard on the bottom for a winning weight of 134 lbs.
In second place was Jordan Holloway also drawn on Back Deans peg 40. Jordan using pellet and switching between pole and feeder he took carp to 10 lbs for a weight of 118 lbs. Third place was Rob Jones of Tonna, Neath fishing for Frenzee South, Rob took a mixed bag of carp and bream and F1s his largest carp being 9 lbs. Using short pole with corn on the hook he weighed 114lbs 4ozs.
