The three-day Bewdley Angling Festival produced some decent weights of barbel, with over 40lb required to win each day and pellet feeder doing most of the damage with the venue’s barbel population.
The best weight went to Bridgnorth’s Mark Pritchard who had 14 barbel from peg 25 on day one, and Mark also won day two with 41-9-0, also on pellet feeder. Not surprisingly the results helped him to the overall title and a cheque for £2200 with 92-9-0. Bridgnorth angler Dan Shinton took home the £1600 for second spot thanks to a 76lb total.
