The new Jersey Wood Fishery between Nuneaton and Coleshill is open for business and early signs are promising with carp to 19lb 4oz coming from Daisy’s Pool and Harry’s fishing particularly well, with bags to 75lb and virtually everyone getting 40lb plus, according to owner Chay Jackson.

Sunday sees the first of a series of open matches at the venue on the match lake, which is called The Bowl, and is stocked with carp to 8lb, chub, roach, rudd and crucian carp. The draw is at 8am at the lodge with tickets £15 all and fishing 9am to 3pm.
