Iconic British tackle brand Hardy and Greys Limited has been acquired by Pure Fishing for an undisclosed sum.
Hardy has been manufacturing fishing equipment for over 140 years and currently employs around 100 people at its Alnwick, Northumberland headquarters.
The company, which still provides fishing tackle to the British royal family, was established in 1872. It was a acquired by the Harris & Sheldon Group from the Hardy family in 1967.
Hardy Greys is world renowned for developing the first carbon fibre fishing rod and recently introduced a new SINTRIX carbon fibre technology to the world of rod manufacture.
Pure Fishing is also acquiring its subsidiary Hardy Advanced Composites Limited.
