Midlander Lee added to a string of open victories at Packington this winter with another win this week, producing the week’s best weight as well with 61-1-9 on peg 9. Lee fished pole and pellet from peg 9m on Gratuities for a bag of carp and tench.
Lee, who leads the Packington Winter League and also finished second to Klaus Fix in the latest round on Sunday, also produced easily the best performance of the week at Moorlands Farm, weighing in 133-8-8 – the week’s only ton-up match weight at the venue – in Saturday’s Winter Pairs Series there.
