Risby Whizzo’s first winter open match took place on the Folly lake on Saturday, 1st November. With sponsorship at each event by BobCo in Leeds and two golden pegs up to £300 each already in place there was sure to be a keen attendance.
The day was won by Tony Crawford weighing in 33lb 8oz of mostly carp taken on pellet and corn at between 11 and 13 m fishing a 16 hook and .12 line.
Fishing peg 12 also proved to be lucky for him as it was also drawn as a golden peg allowing him to take home in excess of £300.
