It was an amazing turnout with 48 anglers fishing the banks at Rutland. Winner was Martin Hearth of Hambleton with a total weight of 13lb 11oz. Martin’s six fish limit was taken on humungus from the Normanton Bank.
Second was Iain Barr with six fish for 13lb exactly. Iain found fish in very shallow water in Barnhill Creek, fishing a floating fry on the point coupled with two nymphs.
Third was Oakham’s Matt Gregory with four fish including the best Rainbow of the competition at exactly 3lb. Matt’s bag limit went 8lb 8oz.
