The latest round of Gaz Kirkham’s Pairs League on the Birmingham-Worcester Canal at Stoke Works saw an excellent winning weight of 16lb to Swan AC’s Les Saunders, who had eight skimmers and three roach on breadpunch at 11 metres from peg 18.

Second placed Derrick Hicklin also weighed in double figures. The Mill Tackle backed angler fished maggot at nine metres for seven skimmers for 13-7-0. Alan Baldwin and Les Saunders won the pairs match on the day and also lead the league.
